Ever Which Way

 Oil on canvas, 11"x14".  I saw these beautiful flowers one day while walking my dogs.  I took photos of them so I could paint them after they were gone.

Willie and Bo

Sold. Willie and Bo are my doggies, my therapists.  The hardest part of this was finding the right pictures.  I take a lot of pictures of them but hardly ever together.  And painting them from life was out of the question—they’re never still except when they’re asleep.  

 

Juan 2020, Portrait Sketch

This is a quick portrait sketch of my husband.  Oil on canvas, 12”x12”.  I was thrilled when he asked me to paint him.  I’ve painted him several times over the years.

My Back Yard

My Back Yard is an 8"x10" plein air oil painting on canvas that took me 3 or 4 sessions on my porch to complete.  Light changes so fast early in the morning that I only had about an hour each morning to work on it.  My back yard is a peaceful retreat from daily stress.  The colored stone walkway leads from the garage to my studio door.

Super Flower Moon

SOLD Super Flower Moon, 8”x10”, oil on canvas, plein air painting.  I sat on my back porch two evenings to paint this using a palette knife.

Frisco

Frisco, 10”x20”x1 1/2", oil on gallery wrapped canvas.  The Frisco Line (St. Louis-San Francisco) was in operation from 1876 to 1980. It was interesting learning about and painting Frisco.

The Firefly

SOLD  The Firefly, oil on canvas, 10 x 20 x 1 1/2 inches.  The Firefly was a passenger train with the Frisco Lines from 1935 to 1960.  It served the Kansas City, Tulsa, Oklahoma City route.  This is a commission that I just completed.  It was a lot of fun to paint.
