BUCKET OF TOMATOES acrylic on board, 6x6

I used a palette knife to do this painting. It is done from a photograph I took of this bucket full of tomatoes my Dad brought in from his garden a few weeks ago.

Yes, these delicious tomatoes came from my Dad's garden. They are such a pretty color and I love painting them. This is a palette knife painting.

This is the biggest of all the tomatoes I brought home from my Dad's garden. I bought the handmade pottery bowl in a flea market last weekend. Yes, I used a palette knife here.

6/17/08 Yes, these tomatoes came from my Dad's garden. It's wonderful to have such delicious tomatoes, especially at a time when it is difficult to buy tomatoes at the grocery store because of the health danger. I used a paint brush for this.

Yes, these tomatoes are from my Dad's garden. And, they're delicious! And, yes, this is another palette knife painting. I'm having so much fun that I might just do another one!

RED ON RED WITH PINK

This painting is almost all red. I like to paint in natural light, but the light kept changing on this one. I guess I didn't paint fast enough. Anyway, I had trouble with the reflections. I'll do better tomorrow.

TWO ROMAS

I placed these two Roma tomatoes on the window sill in my studio and the sun was shining on them. It was quite a challenge to paint them in this bright light.
