Friday, Nov. 23. These keys were in my family's old farm house. I liked the contrast between the old antique sketeton key and the more modern keys on the same chain. And, the washers were interesting.
THANKSGIVING AFTERNOON oil on canvas, appr 4"x6"
Thurs, Nov. 22. This is a view from the house on my family's farm in Leon County. After a big Thanksgiving dinner with lots of relatives, it was nice to just sit and enjoy the quiet and the beautiful country and paint this part of it. It was a cloudy, cold day and there was sleet later in the evening.

This is Monday's painting. I discovered Cholula Hot Sauce a few years ago and when I realized that it actually came from Cholula, Mexico, I liked it even better. I visited Cholula many years ago when I was in college and was fascinated by the history and the beauty there.

WINDBLOWN PALM

This is a plein air painting of the top of a palm tree. The sky was overcast and it was very windy. I had to hold on to everything to keep it from being blown away.

I painted this little landscape from a photograph while traveling. My husband and I were on our way to the Texas Valley and I painted it while he drove. It's the first time I have painted while riding in a moving vehicle, but it worked ok as long as the road was smooth.

As usual, I placed this lucious lemon on the window sill in the afternoon sun in my studio.
I am a full time artist, painting almost every day. Besides these small daily paintings, I also do murals, large landscapes, figurative works, and commissioned portraits. My paintings are in private and corporate collections across the country. My home and studio are in Lufkin, Texas where I live with my 2 cats, and 2 dogs.
