The Gift
Oil on gallery wrapped canvas, 18 x 24 x 2 1/4 inches. (The painting continues on the sides of the canvas.) This is a scene from our farm in central Texas. The sun was rising, and casting a golden glow on everything. Mist was rising from the pond which was still in the shadow of the distant trees. What a beautiful morning my dad and I witnessed from the hilltop! I still miss him terribly, even though he moved to heaven over 8 months ago. I've painted many paintings en plein air at the farm and from photos I have taken there. It's a place of inspiration for me.

A Eureka Moment
SOLD Oil on canvas, 12 x 12 x 1 1/2 inch gallery wrapped canvas. (The painting continues around onto the sides of the canvas.) We have lots of ruby throated hummingbirds right now. I think it's migration season. I took pictures of many of them and of my hanging baskets and put pictures together for this painting. I am donating it to the auction at the Museum of East Texas fundraiser, Dinner and Dancing, which is this weekend.

Solitude
Solitude, oil on canvas, 20x24 inches. This is a spring-fed
pond on my son's property in East Texas. I painted this from a photo I
took when I visited him last fall. It's a peaceful place in the
country. This painting is presently displayed in the annual Angelina
College Faculty Exhibition through the end of September.
