Plein air painting, 8"x10" oil on panel. This is the third painting I did at the farm last week. I didn't quite finish it, so I finished it tonight. I guess I can still call it a plein air painting since I did almost all of it on location.
Plein air painting, 8"x10" oil on panel. These were so pretty in the yard at my dad's farm! I loved watching them every day as they changed. As some drooped, withered, and died, other buds grew and opened into these beautiful delicate blossoms. I painted these on the third day we were there.
Plein air painting, 8"x10", oil on panel. My dad and I spent the week at his farm in central Texas. It is so beautiful there! I painted this from the deck on the back of the house. The mornings were cool (66 degrees), but it was really hot in the afternoons (95 degrees). This was done during a cool Tuesday morning.
I am a full time artist, painting almost every day. Besides these small daily paintings, I also do murals, large landscapes, figurative works, and commissioned portraits. My paintings are in private and corporate collections across the country. I am represented by Harris Gallery in Houston. I also teach part time in a local college. My home and studio are in Lufkin, Texas where I live with my husband and 2 cats.
