WEEDING AND WATERING oil on board, 6x6
My husband is such a good painting subject! I don't know how many times I've painted him. I did this from a picture I took of him out the dining room window on Saturday. He was weeding and watering the plants (cactus) beside the mailbox.

Really nice use of light and shadow! How nice to have a "yard man".
So well done! I really enjoy this.
I know that position well; it is terrible for the back!
Ann, hi
Thank you my friend !
for stopping by my Blog, yes, I was so busy in the total reconstruction of my Website and Blog, but I come back.
my best wishes to you too.

Great modeling on this figure- the shadows on his leg and hat and pants- terrific.
Hello, I'm visiting via DSFDF and just scrolling through. You have such a lovely color palette that you use, I really like the crisp shadows and the composition of this painting. Aren't husbands great subjects, I just posted a shot of my husband on my blog, that I am going to turn into a little painting soon.
Thanks for visiting my blog, Ann! I really like your work too...this one in particular has a lot of power. I also loved your self-portrait and am glad you didn't "mess with it." Shall we exchange blog links? I'm adding you now.
