oil on canvas, appr 6"x6"
I love to smell lemon! And, I was able to do that while I painted this little still life. Although it's "finished", I'm not completely satisfied with it, yet. I'll probably do a little more painting on it after I decide what it needs. It's just not quite there yet.

oil on canvas, appr 6"x4"
I painted a single lemon a few days ago, so I thought I'd make this one a little different. And, it's always fun to paint shiny things! I placed this glass with the lemon and lime in it on my drawing table by the window and painted it with the natural light on it. And, yes, I painted pretty fast, before the light changed too much.

oil on canvas, appr 4"x6"
I painted this after teaching children's classes all afternoon at our museum. The kids were really fun and did some great art work.
I thought I'd make this whole painting yellow--sort of. There are some variations, but some yellow is in everything. I was surprised that the colors and values of the shadows kept changing slightly. I'm not sure why. The lamplight inside was pretty constant, so maybe it was my vision that was changing... Anyway, I really enjoyed painting this lemon.
