I painted this little study from a photo I took when I went to the OPS (Outdoor Painters Society) paint out in Brenham in March. This is in the little town of Round Top, a few miles from Brenham. I'm working on a 24x30 painting of this scene.

BASSE RANCH ABOVE THE CREEK 8x10 oil
This is the view from the hill above the creek on the beautiful Basse Ranch where 40 OPA members painted all day. It was cool and mostly sunny.

TOWARD BOERNE 8x10 oil on canvas on board
I attended an OPA (Oil Painters of America) Paint Out last week in Fredericksburg, in the Texas Hill Country. I borrowed my dad's RV and had a wonderful time painting and taking photos for 5 days around the area. I got to meet many oil painters and see some beautiful country. These are all plein air paintings.
