Portrait of Mrs. A

SOLD Oil on linen, 18"x14" detail.  This is a commissioned portrait I just finished.  Painting portraits is a challenge, but one I love.  Although I love to paint landscapes and almost any subject, the human face is still my favorite.

WAITING oil on board, 8"x10"

This is a study for a larger painting. I actually started the larger one first and then decided to work out the problems in a small study. So, now I can complete the other painting. There are a few things I'll change, but it will basically be like this one. I combined several photos that I've taken and really enjoyed doing this painting.

RED PAJAMAS oil on canvas, 20"x16"

I've been working on this figurative painting and I think it's finished.

I also have my website up and almost finished. I still have the bio to add and some more paintings, but it's presentable. Check it out: http://www.annreyesart.com/

CARLOTA oil on board, 6x6

NFS This is my mother-in-law, a precious little lady. She's not even 5 ft tall, but before she became ill, she was a volunteer grandmother and a hardworking bundle of energy.

ROWING oil on canvas, 11x14

I used the photo on the Different Strokes site to paint this. I love painting water and this subject really appealed to me.

QUIET ELEGANCE oil on canvas, 6x6

I haven't had much time to paint lately with Art Camp going on, but I'm off today and I'm taking advantage of the opportunity to finish this little portrait. And, the day's not over, yet.

WORKING CROSSWORDS
watercolor on paper, 7"x9"

This is my mother in the hospital waiting and keeping her mind busy working crossword puzzles. She was there for an outpatient procedure, so I spent the day with her and painted this from life right there in the hospital.
